Simpson 40 Junk Rig - USD 99,000

'Seadragon 2' was built by her present owner in Queensland Australia and launched in 2011. He took stock Simpson hull plans and designed his own superstructure, producing a boat with great space and comfort, both at sea and in port. She is a very unique Bi-Plane Junk Rig.

The hulls are 9mm ply above and 12mm ply below the waterline with 3 layers of 300 DB glass over above and 4 layers under the waterline. The whole boat is epoxy coated, no polyester or vinylester were used anywhere in the build.

The decks and cabin are constructed from Polycore, a honeycomb cell structure material, glassed on bothsides.
